The Retail Champion Award recognises exceptional individuals and unsung heroes who have dedicated themselves to their role whilst promoting toy retailing in the UK or Ireland. The award is given to individuals who are exceptional advocates for their company, their team, toy retailing and the communities they serve, and have shown a commitment to excellence that goes above and beyond their standard duties.

Judging Criteria

Initiative and impact:

• Share how the candidate has dedicated themselves to their role, shown integrity and a positive attitude, shown initiative and exceeded expectations. How have they promoted toy retailing in a positive light.
• Share how they have advocated for their company, contributed to the overall business success, or business innovation, with tangible results.

Workplace collaboration:

• Share how the candidate is a positive team player, collaborating with colleagues, and fostering teamwork.
• Share how the candidate has positively impacted their workplace stakeholder relationships – how has the candidate enhanced customer or stakeholder experience?
• Showcase any examples of how the candidate has positively influenced the wider communities around them

Flexibility in a changing retail environment

• Has the candidate shown initiative in new ways of doing things, remained positive through change, adapted retail to a changing customer base, embraced new ways of doing things?
