Top 10 TOYS & GAMES for Christmas 2000

The BATR (British Association of Toy Retailers) which represents over 74% of the UK toy market worth £1.65 billion, measured a select list of members sales on or about October 26th to compile this list. A further chart will be released at the begnning of December. The list is only intended as a guide for media purposes and is not a definitive chart – that is carried out by NPD (01032 355580) and will only be available at the end of January 2000.

BATR chairman, Gary Grant says, "This could be a ‘dog-eat-dog’ Christmas! There are a number of electronic hounds all wagging their ‘tales’ to attract top sales. But it’s one of those years where there is a wide range of really innovative toys and games which means the front runners could be challenged."
