Toys sales for girls aged 4 years upwards were worth £671m in the 12 months to June 2007. Dolls sales - one of the most competitive sectors in the toy market – represent the bulk of sales at 30%. In 2007, Barbie (Mattel) and Bratz (Vivid) both have new developments with a focus on fashion. Zapf Creation brings out a new Baby Annabell – the best selling large doll in recent years – to complement its swimming Baby Born. Mattel will also release a new large doll called My Baby, and Hasbro will concentrate on its very successful Littlest Pet Shop range with the new Play & Display pet Town Playset.
